On May 30, Ben went to his very first Tae Kwon Do Tournament! It was very exciting, and he was really nervous until he got out onto the mat. Once he was out there though, he warmed up and did a really great job. He competed in two events, spirit and board breaking. Had he actually yelled during the spirit section, he probably would have won. But, he got a third place medal and we were so proud of him.

He got second place for the board breaking, but that's mostly because the kid he was competing against was a yellow belt with a green stripe, and he kicked to break the board. But it took him two tries! Ah well, it doesn't matter too much, Ben was happy with whatever medals he got!
